About the role

In this role you’ll be responsible for the internal tasks related to our US operations. This position requires, initiative, strong attention to detail and ownership. You will be closely collaborating with an international team based in e.g. London, UK, Madrid, Spain and Tokyo, Japan.

Our ideal candidate

For setting up and further developing our internal organisation, we need someone who knows her/his way around the conditions in the US: Corporate taxes, Corporate, Federal and State Law, Accounting, Insurances management, Supplier relation management, Credit card companies, Insurance companies (Employee benefits; Immigration and Visa process) as well as contractors. In addition, and especially once our HQ has opened its doors; Facility management, Hospitality and Office management could be added to your responsibilities.

You will be working from our HQ in San Francisco (SoMA), overlooking our US operation (SFO; Dallas, TX; Boston, MA), and collaborating with your peers in Madrid, Spain, London, UK and Tokyo, Japan. 

Key responsibilities

  • Reviewing and defined the strategy of the internal operations in US with the current team based in other geographies
  • Checking and redefining operative processes to apply in the US
  • Liaising with financial institutions (banks, insurance companies)
  • Responsible of administrative procedures (Liaising with city council, state, central administration)
  • Supplier relationship management
  • Analyzing and identifying the best providers for several internal services (insurances, attorney firm, benefit providers) for the company
  • US purchase responsibility according the policies
  • Coordination with the IT and Admin core team (be part of that)
  • Coordination with HR department and third parties on immigration processes
  • Support for local employee’s procedures and expat processes
  • Ad Hoc reporting and analysis as needed
  • Demonstrated financial modelling capabilities.

Base Qualifications

  • Approx. 7-9 years of relevant experience
  • Relevant study background 
  • Strong project management skills and able to work across different time zones from time to time
  • Excellent analytical and interpersonal skills, with ability to work successfully across many disciplines
  • Maturity, judgment, independently driven, resourceful, able to deliver with minimal direction
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with 3rd parties, customers, business owners, partners and management
  • Contract management
  • High sense of ownership, urgency, prioritization and drive
  • Nimbleness and comfort with ambiguity; a track record of responding quickly to rapidly evolving threats and opportunities
  • Strong bias for action; ability to juggle multiple priorities and create a sense of urgency in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • The right to work in the US
  • Availability to travel around US.

Preferred Qualifications

  • A good grasp of the Spanish language would be welcomed
